About Me

Aloha,  my name is Dorothy Teramoto and I have been teaching 4th grade at Ha'aheo for the past 15 years.  This year I have the privilege of teaching 2nd Grade!  

 

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Masters degree in Education.  

 

I have lived in Hawaii for the past 25 years and married a Ka'u boy who has rooted me to this beautiful island.  We have two girls (Chloe and Haley), and two cats (Peanut Butter & Lynx). I also have miniature goats that I adore!  Having lived in every state on the West-coast as I was growing up, I feel fortunate that I am able to raise my girls in Hilo and they can say they grew up here (in one place!).

 

Teaching at Ha'aheo is such a blessing.  I am surrounded by a supportive staff, teach the "best class" of students each year, and get to look out at Hilo Bay throughout the day.
