Aloha Haʻaheo ʻOhana,
Due to anticipated severe weather associated with Tropical Storm Nolo and the potential for flooding and unsafe travel conditions, all Hawaiʻi State Department of Education public schools on Hawaiʻi Island will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 24-25.
All school-sponsored activities, athletics, practices and other school events scheduled on those respective dates are also canceled.
The Department is monitoring conditions and coordinating with emergency management officials.
