12/16/20: Letter from Principal Sueoka

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the first semester comes to a close, we would like to share an important update regarding our school schedule for the start of the third quarter. Based on the recent numbers of positive cases on Hawai‘i Island, we will continue to operate in the orange model. As a reminder, our metrics and models are posted on our website (Haaheo.org > News & Announcements).  While this news bring mixed emotions, please understand that this is a reflection of our dedication to the health and safety of our students, faculty, families and community.

To ensure a safe and successful transition, we will continue to closely monitor COVID activity. We will communicate more details in the event we should move models in the future. Your support and understanding is very much appreciated as we navigate through these unprecedented times. We would like to thank you for all that you are doing and going above and beyond to help your child(ren) succeed as we know that this year has not been easy.

It is with great pleasure to announce that our free Grab & Go Meals Program (for all children 18 and under) has been extended through the end of this school year. Ha‘aheo’s drive-thru lunch service is Monday thru Friday between 12:00-12:30pm (excluding holidays and school breaks).

Should you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at (808) 974-4111.

I would like to wish you all happy holiday this Winter Break. Please take this time to rest and rejuvenate. Be safe and stay healthy! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Sueoka
Principal
