Meet Mrs. Floro :)
Aloha kakou, I am happy to be a Resource Teacher at Ha'aheo Elementary. I have always enjoyed working with students and helping them learn. Previously, I taught at Hilo Union Elementary for 7 years. I love celebrating students' strengths and trying to work as a team to figure out how they learn best.
I live in Hilo with my husband, two young sons, two dogs, two sheeps, and 11 chickens and 12 baby chicks. I enjoy gardening and surfing with my family. I still love to learn new things. A new hobby I just started is keeping a beehive. I took a class at UHH, volunteered in an apiary and before I knew it someone had given me a beehive. I had to learn fast and I am still learning new things every time I open the beehive.
My goal is to inspire students to be life long learners and good citizens.
